I had ear and head aches for several years. I could not sleep and always felt tired. I have gone to my family physician, which sent me to various specialties, the last one I saw was ENT doctor. ENT doctor referred me to a dentist. I was surprised, why I would need to see a dentist for my head and ear aches. Apparently I had TMJ, after seeing Dr. Blaess she told me that I needed braces to correct my bite, as a result they will fix my aches. Now after 5 months, I still have my braces on but my aches are gone and my teeth look straight. Thank you Dr. Blaess!

About Hygienist: I received the Zoom teeth whitening. Vicky made the experience pleasant. I was expecting good results, but an uncomfortable experience. Also, Vicky was very good at explaining the procedure and how to take care of my teeth afterwards.

Dr. Blaess is very thoughtful and knows her patients well. My kids (10 and 6) love coming here. If they hear the word "dentist" they are always ready to go. They especially like the goodie chest of toys, toothbrush and toothpaste & ellectronic games in the waiting area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, always have a smile. There are many of dental clinics near my house but I would rather take the extra mile for a great service.

I am astounded that a dentist office can be so utterly fantastic from start to finish.

I found the office online after reading the article in San Antonio Express News about Northwoods Dental Spa.

From my initial e-mail request for a consulation (of which I was sceptical of getting a reply), office manager calling to schedule me (and give me directions, no less), to the overall fantastic spa-like experience I had in office going through several diagnostic procedures (digital x-rays, , etc.), as well as talking to a dedicated financial services manager - I am extraordinarily pleased with the care and service.

I am looking forward to continuing my dental care with Dr.Blaess.

The entire office, staff and Dr. Blaess have been wonderful! I have been a patient for 4 years and haven't had a bad experience yet. When I first began seeing Dr. Blaess, I was very afraid of dentists and knew that I needed alot of work done. Her adn her staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. My first few visits were long in depth and I was treated very repectfully and with care. For that I am a patient of hers for life (as long as she stays in San Antonio =0). With working in the medical field myself, patient referrals are very postive and encouraging. I think taht I have referred every employee that I know and firends that ask who I see. She takes great care of me and since I started Invisalign, she has been my new hero, because I love my smile!!! I am a frequent patient who is seen every four weeks and they are always willing to work with my busy schedule. I am going to be sad when i am done with my ortho care and only get to see her every six months. I woudl recommend anyone to schedule an appointmnet with Dr. Blaess. She is caring, a perfectionist (so my mouth is alwyas looking its best) and loves what she does!! Dr. Blaess is highly professional and good at what she does. Her office staff is amazing and have been especially helpful to me this past year when I suffered a major mouth /tooth injury in a fall. This necessitated a claim on my MEDICAL insirance as opposed to DENTAL insurance - a daunting process for most! Dr. Blaess was quick to refer me to a specialist in endodontics for further treatment caused by my injury. And she gave me her cell number to contact her if I had problems - in spite of the fact that she was out of town on vacation! Tina, her hygenist is AWESOME!
